Rules

The following rules are intended to provide a safe and pleasant family camping experience for you and your neighbors. We ask parents to supervise their children and inform them of these rules. Violation of these rules could result in an early termination without refund.

REGISTRATION

All campers, visitors, guests and pets must register at the office upon arrival and prior to entering the campground, per Maine State Law. All fees must be paid in advance and a valid state issued ID is required of all adults.

CAMPSITE CHECK-IN TIME: 2:00PM-8:00PM CHECK-OUT: 11:00AM

A $20.00 fee for early arrival and late check-out. Decide to stay another day, please preregister by 10:00AM. If checking in after 8:00PM, contact office to make arrangements.

RENTAL UNIT CHECK-IN TIME: 3:00PM CHECK-OUT: 11:00AM

Lazy Frog Campground values our camping children. Please encourage your children to play in designated play areas provided, clear from traffic in and out of the campground. Remind your children not to wander on other campsites-occupied or vacant. Our main concern is making sure all of our children are kept safe, while enjoying a pleasurable camping experience. Parents are responsible for the actions of their children at all times. Adult supervision is imperative for the safety of each child.

GATE ACCESS

Lazy Frog Campground is a secure community within a card-controlled gate system. A keycard is required to enter the campground by vehicle and one (1) keycard is provided at check in. Additional cards are available if required. There is a $60.00 charge to the credit card on file for cards not returned at check out.

VISITORS

Visitors are welcome, however they are REQUIRED to register at the office, show a valid state issued ID, pay a visitors fee and obtain a parking pass. Visitors may not bring pets. Visitors must depart the campground by 10:00PM unless registered as an overnight guest. Please register overnight guests by 8:00PM in the office. Registered campers are responsible for ensuring their visitors have properly registered and that all campground rules are obeyed.

PARKING

Vehicles are to be parked on campsite. No parking in streets or on vacant campsites. Registered visitors parking available at the main entrance. In the event of an emergency requiring emergency vehicle services, roadways must be clear of any obstructions.

VEHICLES

Vehicles leaking oil or fuel will not be allowed into the campground. All vehicles must be parked on their campsites, off the road, not on vegetation or at the main entrance visitor parking.

5 MPH SPEED LIMIT STRICTLY ENFORCED

For everyone's safety...please be aware of any wondering "tadpoles." Speed limit to be adhered by ALL motorized vehicles, ie; golf carts, ATVs, bicycles, etc.

ONLY 1 CAMPING UNIT AND 1 VEHICLE PER SITE

All rates are based on 2 adults and 2 children (human or pet) per unit and 1 vehicle. Limit of 8 per site, 4 of which may be adults. Additional fees will be applied to registered campers.

QUIET HOURS: 10:00PM TO 8:00AM

All daily visitors/guests are required to leave the campground by 10:00PM. Children and teenagers MUST be supervised by an adult by dusk. Please be considerate of those around you and lower the volume of radios, TVs and voices.

CAMPSITES

All campsites have a picnic table and fire pit. Please leave your campsite when you depart as you found it.

CAMPFIRES

All fires must be contained inside the fire pits. Please use extra caution in keeping your children and your personal possessions at a safe distance from campfires. State Law prohibits use of any flammable liquid to start your fire or the burning of cans, bottles, or other household trash. All fires must be extinguished when you retire for the night. Our fire pit placements have been approved by the State of Maine Wildlife and Forestry and should not be moved.

FIREWOOD

State of Maine Law requires guests and visitors to buy it where you burn it. Out-of-state firewood gives bugs a free ride. No cutting of trees is allowed in the campground or adjoining properties. Firewood is sold in the office.

TREES & PROPERTY

DO NOT cut or disfigure trees or shrubs in any way. NO NAILS, SCREWS OR OTHER HARDWARE IN THE TREES. Clotheslines are to be used for towels and swimsuits only. Please use rope or bungee cords. Damage to trees, fire pits, lawn or other campground property by you, a family member or one of your guests is your sole responsibility.

TRASH

Please dispose of all trash, BOTTLES AND CANS included, in the dumpster at the main entrance-household garbage only. Broken furniture, grills, rugs, etc. are not considered household trash and should be taken with you. Please no loose trash. Dispose trash in tied bags. DO NOT LEAVE GARBAGE OUT AT NIGHT to deter uninvited animals that may cause problems for all. This is our home and we take pride in the cleanliness of our campground. Please do not litter… THIS INCLUDES CIGARETTE BUTTS.

SINK (GREY) WATER

The discharge of grey water into the environment has been found to be a significant risk to public health. Health Department regulations do not permit draining sink water on the ground or into open containers. Site's with sewer connection must securely connect wastewater outlets to the sewer pipe. Please contact the office if assistance is needed. Grey water is sometimes discharged into portable blue tanks. The contents of the blue tank must be discharged into the dump station. Please use environmentally safe (non-formaldehyde) waste treatment products.

BICYCLES

State of Maine Law requires all cyclists under the age of 16 wear bike helmets. Bikes are allowed to be used during daylight hours only. For everyone's safety, parents should make sure all children on bikes are back at their campsite before dark.

MOTORCYCLES/MOPEDS/ATVs

MINI BIKES/DIRT BIKES NOT PERMITTED at the campground. Street bikes, mopeds and ATVs allowed ONLY when entering and exiting the campground. When not in use, all motorized vehicles must be parked on their own site, off the road and not on vegetation. No motorized or battery operated children's toys allowed on the grounds.

GOLF CARTS

Only to be driven by registered guests with a valid driver's license and adhere to manufacturer's seating requirements. The campsite number must appear on the cart and be visible on the driver's side. No driving of golf carts after dark unless the cart has proper head lights. Golf carts are to be parked for the evening no later than 10:00PM. ABSOLUTELY NO DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED. Golf carts must be parked on their campsite, off the road and not on vegetation. Only ONE cart per site is allowed. Please use your golf cart to get from one point to another, not for joyriding around the campground.

BATH HOUSES

OPEN 24 HOURS (except when posted for cleaning)

To avoid accidents and injuries, all children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Toilet paper is the only flushable product. Please do not flush sanitary products, baby wipes, face wipes or anything other than toilet paper. The showers are coin-operated with directions posted in each bath house. We take pride in the cleanliness of our facilities. Please help keep the bath houses clean and report any issues to the office immediately.

LAUNDRY ROOM

Coin-operated washers and dryers are available and open 24 hours. Please look after your wash so others are not kept waiting. NO sneakers, sleeping bags or large comforters in the machines.

WATER USAGE

Washing RVs, campers and vehicles is not permitted. Please do not waste water.

POOL

OPEN 9:00AM TO DUSK

NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY! NO DIVING OR RUNNING ON POOL DECK!

Horseplay is strictly prohibited. Pool rules must be observed at all times. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult when in the pool. Infants in diapers must wear swimming diapers. No food or beverages in glass containers, no pets and no smoking allowed in the pool area. No cut off shorts.

SWIMMING IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

POND

NO SWIMMING OR DIVING IN POND! No motorized boats (gas or electric) allowed in the pond.

RECREATIONAL HALL

OPEN 9:00AM TO 9:00PM

Located by the pool and available for registered guests. The hall is equipped with a ping pong table and NEW table and chairs for crafts or family games. Please supervise children under the age of 10 years old.

PLAYGROUND

Located in the field area of the furthest section of the campground. For the safety of all children, please supervise your children while at the playground.

PETS

We welcome friendly, NON-AGGRESSIVE pets that behave properly and are not disruptive to other campers enjoying a peaceful visit. State Law requires a copy of your pet's rabies certificate be on file upon registration. NO EXCEPTIONS. PETS MUST ALWAYS BE LEASHED AND UNDER CONTROL at all times. A straight leash not to exceed 6' is required. NO CHILD is permitted to walk a dog. Pets are NEVER to be unattended inside or outside of your unit. Owners are completely responsible for their pets at all times. Pets are not permitted in any buildings, on the playground or in the pool area. You MUST PICK UP AFTER YOUR PET...even in the dark (bring a flashlight). Lazy Frog Management reserves the right to refuse to allow pets on campground property if they feel they are a danger to others.

PETS IN RENTAL CABIN

Pets are permitted in the Lazy Frog Pet-Friendly Cabin Rental ONLY.

ALCOHOL

Maine State Law prohibits anyone under the age of 21 to possess or consume alcoholic beverages or anyone to furnish alcoholic beverages to anyone under the age of 21. Consumption by a minor will lead to ejection with NO REFUND. Alcoholic beverages must be in a Koozie or insulated cup when consumed off your campsite.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Behavior that causes others to complain and/or disregard for rules may result in eviction without refund.

PRIVACY

Please respect the privacy and space of other campers and the owners. Use designated roadways and paths rather than walking thru or between occupied sites when walking thru the campground.

PHOTOGRAPHS AND VIDEOS

From time-to-time Lazy Frog Campground may take photographs and/or videos of our campers and their visitors, including but not limited to our activities and/or special events, to be used in advertising for the campground. The signing of the Rules and Regulations grants permission to Lazy Frog Campground to use any such photographs and/or videos for internal and external advertising purposes without payment or compensation.

OTHER

FIREARMS AND FIREWORKS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED

Rules are subject to change without prior notification. The owners/management of Lazy Frog Campground Inc. absolve themselves from any and all liability and responsibility pertaining to injury, loss, theft, property damage, accident or any other cause whatsoever. There are NO REFUNDS given for any reason including but not limited to bad weather or early departure. Deposits are nonrefundable.
